CROSS RIVER APC LEADERS UNITE TO DELIVER MASSIVE SUPPORT FOR PRESIDENT TINUBU AHEAD OF 2027

APC STAKEHOLDERS STRATEGIZE FOR A STRONG ELECTORAL SHOWING
Political leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress gathered in Cross River State to deliberate on the future of the party and strengthen support for the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as preparations gradually begin for the 2027 general elections.
The strategic gathering, convened by the Governor of the state, Bassey Otu, took place at the Calabar International Convention Centre in Calabar. The meeting brought together influential figures within the party including National Assembly members, state lawmakers, party leaders, youth representatives, women groups, and other critical stakeholders.
The meeting provided an opportunity for party leaders to review political developments in the state and chart a clear path toward strengthening the party’s presence at the grassroots.
RESOLVE TO DELIVER SIGNIFICANT VOTER SUPPORT
During the deliberations, leaders of the party expressed strong commitment to mobilising widespread support for President Tinubu in the next election cycle.
The stakeholders emphasised the importance of unity, organisation, and early preparation in ensuring that the party maintains its political strength within the state and contributes significantly to the national victory of the ruling party.
Participants agreed that effective mobilisation across wards, communities, and local government areas will be essential in achieving the ambitious voter turnout target set by the party leadership.
GOVERNOR OTU SEEKS FEDERAL SUPPORT FOR CROSS RIVER
Addressing party members at the gathering, Governor Bassey Otu highlighted several developmental priorities for the state and appealed for continued collaboration with the Federal Government.
He called for renewed federal attention toward the restoration of the state’s economic advantages, particularly concerning its oil producing status and littoral classification.
According to the governor, available technical records and reservoir reports provide credible evidence supporting the state’s claim regarding its oil wells, and he urged the Federal Government to rely on such verified information when considering the matter.
Governor Otu also appealed for greater inclusion of Cross River indigenes in federal appointments, noting that such representation would enhance the state’s participation in national development and strengthen public confidence in the administration’s development agenda.
BETTA EDU ADVOCATES GRASSROOTS MOBILISATION
Former Minister and prominent party leader Betta Edu also addressed stakeholders, encouraging party members to intensify political engagement at the grassroots level.
She stressed the importance of inclusive participation that involves youths, women, community leaders, and local party structures in order to build stronger political momentum ahead of the elections.
According to her, voter education and consistent engagement with communities will play a critical role in sustaining support for the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration.
Dr Edu also reaffirmed her commitment to mobilising strong electoral support for both President Tinubu and Governor Otu in the coming election season.

LAWMAKERS PLEDGE SUPPORT ACROSS THE THREE SENATORIAL ZONES
Members of the National Assembly from Cross River State also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening political mobilisation within their constituencies.
Representatives from the three senatorial zones assured stakeholders that coordinated engagement with communities across the state will continue in order to maintain strong support for the party.
They emphasised that unity among party leaders and continuous communication with constituents remain key factors in achieving political success.
CONFIDENCE IN THE RENEWED HOPE AGENDA
Throughout the meeting, party leaders expressed confidence in the developmental policies introduced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Stakeholders noted that ongoing federal projects and collaborations have begun to bring new opportunities to several states, including Cross River.
They maintained that sustained support for the administration would ensure that more developmental projects and economic opportunities reach the state in the coming years.
