Those Who Seek for a Better Society would be remembered eternally
The leaders of Jesus’ time plotted against him and hoped that the name of Jesus would be remembered no more. They continued even after Jesus’ death to stop the disciples from preaching in the name of Jesus. Their efforts there failed as well. Today, we know the name of Jesus , but we don’t know the names of the Pharisees. It seems that the more people try to silence those who are working to do the right thing the more their names are known and their truths spread.

Seldom do we know the names of those who oppose them. *Gandhi* worked for justice for the people of India. *Abraham Lincoln* signed the Emancipation Proclamation that ended slavery in America. *Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr* . worked to end segregation and other acts of injustice in the United States. *Nelson Mandela* was a prisoner for many years in South Africa and helped to end apartheid. *Lech Walesa* was a key figure of the Solidarity movement in Poland which helped to lessen the hold of the government on business.
These names will remain known because of their historical significance. I don’t know the names of those who opposed them, do you? In order for all of the above to have succeeded there were the unknown and unsung that supported them.
Jesus’ name will be remembered because of us and those with whom we share the Good News.
