ROYAL ENDORSEMENT STRENGTHENS OMOLEYE’S RE-ELECTION BID AS ARAMOKO RALLIES BEHIND PROVEN LEADERSHIP
The lawmaker representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II in the House of Representatives, Hon. Biodun Omoleye, has received a significant boost to his re-election bid following royal blessings from the Regent of Aramoko Ekiti, Princess Sherifat Owolabi, ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary and the forthcoming general election.
Omoleye, who is seeking a second term in office, was warmly received at the Alara Palace, where traditional leaders and party stakeholders expressed overwhelming confidence in his leadership, performance, and continued capacity to deliver impactful representation.
Presenting the federal lawmaker at the palace on Sunday, the APC Chairman in Ekiti West Local Government Area, Mr. Olu Aladeloye, highlighted Omoleye’s numerous developmental strides in Aramoko and across the constituency, describing him as a leader whose record speaks boldly for him.
He cited ongoing road construction projects, empowerment programmes, and consistent engagement with constituents as clear evidence of a representative who has remained faithful to his promises and responsive to the needs of the people.
Aladeloye further described Omoleye as a dependable and accessible leader whose grassroots-oriented approach to governance has earned him widespread admiration and trust across communities.
According to him, several roads currently under construction in Aramoko had been abandoned for decades, noting that their rehabilitation not only improves infrastructure but also boosts economic activities and enhances the quality of life of residents.
He added that Omoleye’s impressive first-term performance has naturally positioned him for re-election, stressing that the lawmaker had similarly received royal blessings prior to his first electoral victory an indication of enduring confidence and a strong bond between him and the people.
In his remarks, the Asao of Aramoko, High Chief Isaac Adebayo, described Omoleye as a man of proven integrity, humility, and competence. He commended the lawmaker’s visible and behind the scenes interventions in the community, noting that many of his contributions were carried out quietly but have delivered meaningful and lasting impact.
“Hon. Omoleye is a leader whose love for Aramoko is unquestionable. His projects speak volumes, and even beyond what is visible, he has extended support to many individuals and families in ways that truly matter,” the High Chief stated.
Speaking during the visit, Omoleye expressed deep appreciation to the Regent and the traditional council for their continued support, prayers, and trust. He assured the community that all ongoing road rehabilitation projects would be completed within 60 days and disclosed plans for the installation of solar powered streetlights to improve security and stimulate nightlife and commerce.
Reaffirming his commitment to inclusive development, the lawmaker reiterated his resolve to further elevate the status of Aramoko and the entire constituency if given another mandate. He highlighted several people focused initiatives already executed under his leadership, including scholarship schemes for students, empowerment programmes for traders and artisans, as well as the distribution of tools and financial support to small business owners.
Omoleye also emphasized his results driven style of leadership, maintaining that his priority has always been tangible impact rather than publicity.
“I am not given to noise-making. What matters most is the real difference we make in the lives of our people. By the grace of God and with your continued support, we will consolidate on our achievements and deliver even greater dividends in the next term,” he said.
In her response, the Regent, Princess Sherifat Owolabi, offered heartfelt prayers for Omoleye and formally bestowed the palace’s royal blessing upon him. She expressed strong confidence in his chances of emerging victorious at both the APC primary and the general election, while urging him to remain steadfast, committed, and people focused.
She also charged the lawmaker to sustain and expand his developmental efforts, emphasizing the need to continue prioritizing the welfare and progress of Aramoko and the broader constituency.
