
ODSG APPROVES SOLARISE BOREHOLES, TOILETS FOR SOUTH SEN. DIST. SCHLS.,COMMUNITIES
The Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa administration in Ondo State through the Ministry of Water Resources, Public Sanitation and Hygiene, OSMWRPSH has approved Solarise Boreholes and Toilets for some communities in the Southern Senatorial District of the state.
This revelation was made by the Honourable Commissioner in charge of the Ondo State Water Sector, Honourable Ayodele Akande, FCA while addressing Journalists during his familiarisation tour to Ilaje and Okitipupa Local Government Areas
Hon.Akande revealed that the Governor, Dr. Aiyedatiwa has taken another wider step towards the realization of OMI ÌRÒRÙN delivered to every homes and residents of Ondo State.

He also revealed that Gov.Aiyedatiwa is also determined to actualize the hygiene driven initiative towards making every community a Defecation Free zones.
According to Akande,” I am proud to announced to the people of Ondo Southern Senatorial District apart from the various on-going all water related projects that Mr.Governor has also approved the construction of Solarise Powered Boreholes and in some communities”.
” I am also happy to I form you that efforts are in top gear through the the governors approval that the Ondo State Water Sector through the Public Sanitation and Hygiene Department has also commenced the process of the construction of Toilets in some designated areas including schools and public places.
These gestures by the Gov.Aiyedatiwa are all genuine efforts geared towards providing safe portable water to every homes and to make Ondo State an Open Defecation Free,ODF State”
Akande during the visit called on the residents of the Southern Senatorial District to cooperate with the government of Gov. Aiyedatiwa in his mission to actualize the KÁMOMI ÌRÒRÙN Initiative and also to see government as partners in progress as funds have been set aside for the projects.
He charged the every citizens of in the districts to joined hands with the Ministry of Water Resources, Public Sanitation and Hygiene to secure the water projects through vigilance and sharing of correct informations concerning the utilities from vandalism and thefts.

Akande reemphasize that the objective of this tour is very clear that’s to do physical inspections of facilities and projects and to have in-depth knowledge for a comprehensive solutions to the various challenges being faced in Ondo Water Sector in the zone.
Some of the residents interviewed express gratitudes to Gov. Aiyedatiwa for his magnanimity and satisfactions of the services deliveries by the Ondo State Ministry of Water Resources, Public Sanitation and Hygiene over their renewed efforts to deliver portable,safe water to the Southern Communities.
Akande assured that the new approved projects will not affect the on-going ongoing constructions rather it will be complimentary and symbiotic.
During the tour, Hon. Akande was accompanied by the Administrative Secretary, AS, Princess Victoria Adetoye,the two General Managers, GMs,Engr. Remigious Ogunjobi of Water Corporation, ODSWC and Engr. Rotimi Oladele of RUWASSA and as well as eight other Directors drawn from the Ministry on entourage.
Also on the delegation is Oluwakemi Adedeji-Adeyemi, Head of Media & Publicity, Ondo State Ministry of Water Resources, Public Sanitation & Hygiene as well as two personal aides of the Honourable Commissioner, Rt.Hon. Makanjuola Akintola, Special Assistant, SA and Comrade Goke Oluwole, Special Adviser, SA on Media and Strategy respectively.
The first point of call for the Hon.Akande led delegation from Akure was the inspection at the rehabilitated NigerDelta Development Commission,NDDC Water Scheme at Igbokoda, GRA, Ilaje.
Then the delegation branched to Ilaje High School, Igbokoda and the C& S Grammar School Ugbonla to ascertain the sites for the Boreholes and Toilets to be constructed.

The breakdown of the projects includes rehabilitation of boreholes and building of a 10-Units 4:4 Toilets for males and females Students and 2 Units for the Teachers within the compounds of the two schools.
They also made a trip to the Zion-Pepe to inspect the sites for rehabilitation NDDC Solarise Boreholes and site for the construction of new ones.
The delegation also had a stop over at Igbodigo Community within Okitipupa LG to inspect one of the newly constructed Simple Solarise Power Boreholes awaiting Commissioning.

The final destination was the ancient Okitipupa Area Office of the Ondo State Water Corporation, ODSWC and the Honorable Commissioner, Akande promised that the office need immediate overhauling and upgrading of the machineries as well as improving the standards of both the buildings infrastructures.
