ARAMOKO WITNESSES NEW DAWN

Residents of Aramoko Ekiti have expressed renewed hope following the official commencement of the rehabilitation of three major township roads by the Member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II in the House of Representatives, Biodun Omoleye. The project signals a major intervention aimed at improving mobility, strengthening economic activities, and enhancing the overall living conditions within the community.
The road rehabilitation initiative covers three important routes within the town — Ijofi Road, Ijowa Road, and Architect Fola Alade Road at Oke Amututu. These roads have served as vital links for residents, traders, and motorists for many years but had suffered prolonged neglect, making movement difficult and slowing down commercial activities in the area.
Speaking at the official project launch, Hon. Omoleye noted that the intervention was a direct response to the concerns consistently raised by residents during his interactions across the constituency. According to him, effective representation requires listening to the people and responding to their genuine needs with practical solutions. He expressed satisfaction with the level of mobilisation already carried out by the contractor and assured the community that the rehabilitation would be completed within sixty days.

The federal lawmaker further explained that beyond easing transportation, the project is expected to stimulate local economic growth and improve social connectivity across different parts of the town. He emphasised that many of the affected roads had existed for decades without proper asphalt construction, making the intervention both necessary and timely for the development of Aramoko Ekiti.
Hon. Omoleye also disclosed plans to complement the road works with the installation of modern streetlights after completion. The lighting project, he said, would improve night-time security, beautify the environment, and support commercial activities for residents and businesses operating in the area after dark.
While appreciating the cooperation of community members, the lawmaker urged residents to play their part in preserving the infrastructure. He advised against blocking drainage channels or damaging the road surfaces, stressing that community participation is essential for ensuring the long-term sustainability of public projects.
Omoleye equally reaffirmed his commitment to working harmoniously with the Ekiti State Government in delivering development across the constituency. According to him, collaboration between federal and state authorities remains key to accelerating progress and ensuring that communities like Aramoko continue to benefit from impactful projects.
In his reaction, the Sajowa of Aramoko, Chief Emmanuel Oyebade, described the road rehabilitation as a landmark development that has rekindled hope among residents. He noted that the community had waited many years for such attention and assured that traditional leaders and community members would work together to protect the infrastructure and ensure its proper maintenance.
The flag-off ceremony attracted community leaders, residents, and supporters who described the initiative as a practical demonstration of responsive representation and a clear step toward strengthening development in Aramoko Ekiti.
