GOVERNOR OYEBANJI PAYS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO FAMILY OF LATE CHIEF FRANCIS ADEBAYO DARAMOLA

Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji of Ekiti State on Wednesday paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Chief Francis Adebayo Daramola, father of former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Bimbo Daramola, at their residence in Ado-Ekiti.
The visit was in honour of the memory and legacy of the late elder statesman, who passed away on Monday at the remarkable age of 99.
Late Chief Francis Adebayo Daramola was widely respected as a distinguished educationist, community leader, and a revered member of the Ekiti Elders Council. Throughout his lifetime, he was known for his immense contributions to the growth of education, community development, and the preservation of values that have continued to shape the Ekiti identity.
During the condolence visit, Governor Oyebanji expressed deep sympathy to the Daramola family over the loss of their patriarch, describing his passing as not only a personal loss to the family, but also a significant loss to Ekiti State as a whole.
The Governor noted that Chief Daramola lived a fulfilled and impactful life marked by service, wisdom, discipline, and dedication to humanity. He prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed and asked God to grant the family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Governor Oyebanji was received by some of the children of the deceased, including former federal lawmaker, Hon. Bimbo Daramola, alongside other members of the family, friends, and close associates who had gathered to mourn and celebrate the life of the late nonagenarian.
The visit further underscored the Governor’s respect for elder statesmen and his administration’s recognition of individuals whose lives and service have left lasting footprints on the development of Ekiti State.
Late Chief Francis Adebayo Daramola’s death has continued to attract tributes from within and outside the state, with many describing him as a man of honour, intellect, and uncommon commitment to the advancement of society.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
