ONDO AG ATTACK: CONCERNED APC ELITE EXONERATES INT. MINISTER, HON. TUNJI-OJO

A group of eminent Leaders of the national rulling party under the aegis of Concerned APC Elites,CAE has exonerate the Minister of Interior, Honourable Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo as the alleged masterminder of the recent face-off between the Ondo State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General,Dr.Kayode Ajulo and some Youths and Students.
The Concerned APC Elites through a Press Statement signed by four of its officers differ with Ajulo over the allegation against the Minister of Interior, Hon.Tunji-Ojo from what they termed as a campaign of calumny aimed at tarnishing his image.
The Statement which was has the signatures of the Chairman,Hon Adeboro Onibalusi, the representative of Ondo North Senatorial District Coordinator, Comrade Ajayi Victor Olusuyi, Apostle Sunday Iwalefun and Hon Faleye Segun representative of both South and Central respectively.
The unedited version of the PRESS STATEMENT read in full;
Our attention has been drawn to the recent statement issued by the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Ondo State, wherein he attempted to cast baseless aspersions on a distinguished member of the Federal Executive Council, the Honourable Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
It is unfortunate that rather than focusing on his constitutional duties, the Attorney General has chosen to embark on a campaign of calumny, fueled by political paranoia and unfounded assumptions.
To set the record straight, the Honourable Minister of Interior has no hand in whatever grievances the so-called Akoko Youth may have against the Attorney General.
The Minister remains a firm believer in youth empowerment and community development, which is why he has always supported lawful and meaningful initiatives that uplift the people of Ondo State.
There is nothing wrong with engaging or supporting youth groups, provided such support is channeled towards progressive and constructive endeavors.
However, it is regrettable that instead of addressing the concerns of the youth in a respectful and productive manner, the Attorney General chose to dismiss them outright, only to turn around and manufacture conspiracy theories.
His unwarranted attacks on the Honourable Minister appear to be nothing more than a desperate attempt to deflect from his own failings.
It is equally disturbing that political actors are already heating up the polity with baseless speculations about the 2028 governorship election, which is still far away.
While the Honourable Minister, like every qualified citizen, has the right to contest any election of his choice, he has made no declaration regarding the 2028 race. Any insinuation to the contrary is mere political mischief designed to create unnecessary tension in the state.
At this moment, the Honourable Minister is fully committed to his duties in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. His priority is ensuring the successful implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly as it concerns national security and internal affairs.
Furthermore, if there is any election that concerns him at the moment, it is the 2027 presidential election. His focus, alongside other progressive stakeholders, is on mobilizing the people of Ondo State to give Mr. President a resounding mandate for his second term in office.
While we acknowledge that the Honourable Attorney General, Kayode Ajulo, remains our brother and friend, we urge him and other well-meaning indigenes of Ondo State to focus on supporting Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in delivering good governance.
The Governor has a mandate to fulfill, and all hands must be on deck to ensure he succeeds in transforming the state for the benefit of its citizens.
We urge the Attorney General and other political figures to refrain from engaging in needless distractions and instead concentrate on the task of governance.
The people of Ondo State deserve leaders who are focused on service delivery, not those who create unnecessary political strife out of personal insecurities.
The Honourable Minister remains committed to the collective progress of Ondo State and Nigeria at large.
He will not be deterred by the antics of individuals whose primary concern is self-preservation rather than the welfare of the people.

Hon Adeboro Onibalusi (Chairman)
Ajayi Victor Olusuyi (Ondo North)
Apostle Sunday Iwalefun (Ondo South)
Hon Faleye Segun (Central)
