EKITI 2026: APC CONDUCTS FREE, FAIR AND CREDIBLE WARD DELEGATES CONGRESS ACROSS ALL WARDS
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State on Saturday successfully conducted its Ward Delegates Congress across the 177 Wards in the state ahead of the party’s governorship primary slated for Monday, 27th October 2025.
The exercise, which was monitored by independent observers, security agencies, and party stakeholders, was largely peaceful, transparent, and well-organized, reflecting the maturity, unity, and democratic strength within the party.
Reports from different wards across the 16 Local Government Areas confirmed massive turnout of party members who participated actively in the delegate selection process without intimidation, rancor, or interference.
In particular, Iloro/Ijurin Ward B recorded an impressive turnout as party faithful trooped out enthusiastically to participate in the process. The orderly conduct and harmonious participation further demonstrated the growing internal unity and trust among members of the ward.
Stakeholders described the overall exercise as a strong demonstration of APC’s commitment to internal democracy and its readiness to present a credible and widely accepted candidate for the 2026 Governorship Election.
Speaking after the congress, party leaders commended the leadership style of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, noting that his inclusive approach and open-door governance have continued to strengthen party cohesion and deepen trust among members.

Many stakeholders expressed confidence that the smooth conduct of the congress has positioned the APC on a strong footing as it moves toward Monday’s governorship primary.
They urged party members to sustain the same atmosphere of peace and comradeship, stressing that the APC remains one united house working to ensure continuity, stability, and accelerated development across Ekiti State.
With the successful completion of the Ward Delegates Congress, attention now shifts to the Governorship Primary, which is expected to further reaffirm the party’s unity, strength, and commitment to a prosperous Ekiti under progressive leadership.
