EKITI NORTH FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY II DECLARES REJECTION OF PURPORTED ENDORSEMENT, AFFIRMS SUPPORT FOR HON. AKINLAYO DAVIDSON KOLAWALE
The political leadership, stakeholders, youth groups, and concerned members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti North Federal Constituency II have publicly disassociated themselves from what they described as a purported, irregular and politically questionable endorsement of Hon. Ibrahim Olanrewaju, insisting that such pronouncement does not reflect the collective will, due process, or democratic values of the constituency.
In a strongly worded position issued on behalf of party faithful and grassroots mobilizers across the constituency, stakeholders described the said endorsement as lacking legitimacy, consensus, and proper consultation with critical party structures, warning that such actions risk undermining unity and stability within the party.
According to the group, any attempt to present the endorsement as the official position of Ekiti North Federal Constituency II is misleading and should be disregarded by the public, party members, and stakeholders across the state.
Instead, the constituency reaffirmed its overwhelming confidence in the leadership capacity, political maturity, and consistent representation offered by Hon. Akinlayo Davidson Kolawole, a respected lawmaker whose track record in legislative engagement, constituency development, youth empowerment, and community outreach continues to earn widespread commendation.
They emphasized that Hon. Akinlayo remains the authentic political voice of the constituency, enjoying deep rooted support across wards, local government structures, and party leadership circles, owing to his consistent accessibility and performance driven representation.
The stakeholders further cautioned against what they termed “divisive political theatrics,” urging all aspirants and their supporters to adhere strictly to party constitution, internal democracy, and established nomination processes rather than relying on staged declarations that could destabilize the political atmosphere of the constituency.
Reiterating their position, the group called on party elders, state leadership, and relevant stakeholders to intervene where necessary to preserve unity, fairness, and due process within the APC family in Ekiti North Federal Constituency II.
