EKITI PDP TO FAYOSE: THE PARTY IS BIGGER THAN YOU,YOUR ERA OF IMPUNITY IS OVER
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State has noted the latest angry outburst from former Governor Ayo Fayose, who has once again chosen to attack the same party that lifted him from obscurity and entrusted him with two terms as Governor.
Let it be stated clearly: Ekiti PDP has moved beyond one-man politics, and no amount of frustration or public ranting will reverse the clock.
For years, Mr. Fayose used the PDP in Ekiti as a personal possession, imposing candidates, intimidating party elders, suppressing vibrant voices, and turning the party structure into a private inheritance. Those days are gone forever.
The successful congresses and peaceful restructuring of the party across all levels have ended the era of political hostage-taking. It is understandable that losing absolute control has left Mr. Fayose bitter, restless, and visibly uncomfortable but that is not the PDP’s headache.
If a former governor now finds fulfilment in attacking his own party while seeking refuge and financial comfort under a ruling party administration, the public can clearly see where loyalty, integrity, and dignity truly lie.
To declare the PDP “dead” in Ekiti simply because the party no longer bends to your personal will is not political analysis, it is pained entitlement. The PDP in Ekiti is alive, united, and rising; what is collapsing is the relevance of leaders who believed they were bigger than the party and turned politics into inheritance business.
We will not trade words endlessly. We only remind Mr. Fayose that no individual is greater than the PDP. History has shown repeatedly that when the people take back their party, the era of intimidation ends.
Ekiti PDP is not apologizing for growing, restructuring, and liberating itself from suffocating control. We are focused on the future, not on yesterday’s emperor lamenting the end of his kingdom.
To all party members and loyal stakeholders:
Remain resolute. Our movement to reclaim Ekiti in 2026 is unstoppable. Those who believe the party must die because they cannot own it have already lost the battle.
Ekiti PDP Reborn. Resurgent. Unshakable.
