Governor Oyebanji’s Transformational Leadership Attracts National Recognition as Ekiti Records Unprecedented Development Milestones

Biodun Oyebanji, Governor of Ekiti State, continues to set unprecedented records through his visionary and people-centered governance. In just two weeks, four state Governors — from Kogi, Lagos, Ondo, and Edo States — have visited Ekiti to commission landmark projects, underscoring the state’s rapid transformation and development momentum.
Yesterday, His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State, joined Governor Biodun to commission two major projects: the Ikere-Igbara Odo Road and the Renewed Hope Initiative Farm Dormitory in Ikere-Ekiti. This visit followed the Edo Governor’s earlier inspection of ongoing projects across Ekiti on Tuesday.
Reviving Infrastructure and Promoting Agriculture
The Ikere-Igbara Odo Road, previously notorious for its poor condition and security challenges, has been fully rehabilitated, now offering safe, smooth, and reliable connectivity that restores economic and social activities along the corridor.
Meanwhile, the Renewed Hope Initiative Farm Dormitory in Ikere-Ekiti is one of five already completed across the state, aimed at promoting food security, youth engagement in agriculture, and rural development. Additional farm dormitories, including those in Iyemero and Eporo, were also commissioned yesterday, highlighting the Governor’s commitment to inclusive agricultural empowerment.
Recognition of Accountability and Results-Oriented Governance
All visiting Governors have consistently commended Governor Oyebanji’s prudence, accountability, and inclusive leadership. His administration has demonstrated that limited resources, when well-managed, can yield unlimited impact, turning Ekiti into a model of efficient, result-driven governance.
The steady stream of project commissions and inspection visits by other Governors confirms the reality of tangible progress across the state. No visiting leader travels hundreds of kilometers for mere “paper projects,” making their presence in Ekiti a resounding endorsement of BAO’s transformative leadership.

A New Era of Governance
Under Governor Oyebanji, governance in Ekiti has shifted from rhetoric to results, and from politics to performance. The state now enjoys a renewed political atmosphere of hope, unity, and purposeful leadership, visible through real projects delivering real benefits to the people.
Other projects commissioned yesterday:
Renewed Hope Farm Dormitory, Ikere
Renewed Hope Farm Dormitory, Iyemero
Renewed Hope Farm Dormitory, Eporo
Ekiti is indeed working again, and the results are clear for all to see.
