HON. AKINLAYO STORMS BAO 2026 CAMPAIGN FLAG-OFF, REAFFIRMS TOTAL SUPPORT FOR GOVERNOR OYEBANJI
Hon. Kolawole Davidson Akinlayo was among the prominent political figures who graced the historic flag-off ceremony of the BAO 2026 re-election campaign of His Excellency, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, held at the Ekiti State Pavilion in Ado-Ekiti.
The well-attended event witnessed an overwhelming convergence of party faithfuls, political leaders, traditional stakeholders, youth groups, women associations, and supporters from all corners of Ekiti State. The massive turnout not only underscored the popularity of Governor Oyebanji but also served as a strong testament to the people’s trust, acceptance, and confidence in his administration’s performance over the years.
The atmosphere at the Pavilion was electrifying, filled with excitement, unity, and renewed hope as chants of solidarity and support echoed across the venue. It was indeed a clear demonstration of the collective resolve of Ekiti people to sustain the progress and stability currently being enjoyed under the Oyebanji-led administration.
While interacting with constituents, party members, and other stakeholders at the event, Hon. Akinlayo commended Governor Oyebanji for his visionary leadership style, inclusive governance, and people-oriented policies that have continued to impact positively on the lives of Ekiti residents. He noted that the Governor’s deliberate focus on infrastructure development, youth empowerment, education, healthcare delivery, and economic growth has set a new standard for governance in the state.
Hon. Akinlayo further emphasized that the achievements recorded by the Oyebanji administration within a short period have not only justified the confidence reposed in him by the people but have also positioned Ekiti State on a path of sustainable growth and development. According to him, the Governor has demonstrated capacity, competence, and compassion—qualities that make him deserving of a second term in office.
Speaking on the significance of the flag-off ceremony, Hon. Akinlayo described the massive turnout as a clear and undeniable signal of victory ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election. He expressed strong optimism that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would emerge victorious at the polls, given the level of grassroots support and the track record of performance being showcased by the current administration.
He, however, called on all party faithfuls, leaders, and supporters to remain steadfast, united, and committed to the party’s ideals throughout the campaign period. He stressed that unity, discipline, and collective responsibility would be critical in consolidating the gains already achieved and ensuring a resounding victory at the polls.
Reaffirming his unwavering loyalty and support, Hon. Akinlayo pledged his continuous collaboration with the Oyebanji-led administration, assuring that he would remain resolute in contributing his quota towards the success of the government. He also reiterated his personal commitment to delivering effective, responsive, and people-centered representation to the good people of Ido/Osi, Moba, and Ilejemeje Federal Constituency.
According to him, his focus remains on attracting more developmental projects, empowering constituents, and improving the overall welfare of the people, while working in synergy with the state government to achieve shared developmental goals.
The BAO 2026 campaign flag-off ceremony, beyond being a political gathering, stood as a strong declaration of continuity, progress, and collective determination by the people of Ekiti State to move forward and not backward.
