REBUTTAL OF FALSE ALLEGATIONS AND WARNING AGAINST DEFAMATION.
Our attention has been drawn to a series of defamatory statements, false allegations, and coordinated media attacks directed at Hon. Akinlayo Davidson Kolawole.
In particular, we strongly condemn the circulation of unverified and inciting claims alleging secret meetings and violent intentions against Barr. Olarewaju. These allegations are entirely baseless, malicious, and designed to mislead the public and incite unnecessary tension.
We wish to categorically state that Hon. Akinlayo Davidson Kolawole is not a criminal and has no involvement in any act of violence. Any attempt to portray him otherwise is a deliberate act of character assassination.
We have credible reason to believe that these coordinated attacks are being propagated through an individual popularly known as Olooto Ekiti, with influence and backing from Ibrahim, a former Member of the House of Representatives and former Senior Adviser on Legislative Matters to the President.
We strongly advise Ibrahim Olarewaju to refrain from further targeting the personality and reputation of Hon. Akinlayo Davidson Kolawole and instead focus on his political engagements, including the forthcoming primary elections.
Furthermore, the continued use of proxies or third parties to disseminate falsehoods and attack Hon. Akinlayo will only escalate tensions and may result in an avoidable media conflict.
We wish to make it unequivocally clear that any further acts of defamation, blackmail, or publication of false information will be met with appropriate and lawful responses, including but not limited to public rebuttals and legal action.
We therefore urge all parties to uphold decency, responsibility, and integrity in political engagement, and to desist from actions capable of undermining peace and public trust.
