As part of my official duties, we marked the 5th Anniversary of the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), Moremi Clinic in Ado-Ekiti. I was once again reminded that the fight against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is not a burden for a few, but a shared duty that calls for the hands and hearts of us all.
For five solid years, this centre has been more than brick and mortar-it has stood as a haven of hope, a sanctuary of healing, and a lighthouse of justice. With tireless professionals offering medical care, psychosocial support, and legal guidance, Moremi Clinic has walked over 600 victims through the dark valley of pain into the light of survival. This milestone is not just worth celebrating; it is a trumpet call for us to double our efforts.
As the Chairperson of the Ekiti State Gender-Based Violence Management Committee, I stand firmly on this administration’s zero-tolerance policy against GBV.

My heartfelt gratitude goes to our partners, agencies, and civil society organizations who walk this rugged path with us. And to every survivor reading this, hear me: you are not alone, your voice counts, your healing matters, and your tomorrow holds promise.
Above all, I thank our compassionate, people-centred Governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, whose unwavering commitment has made Ekiti State a reference point in the fight against GBV. As we celebrate this milestone, let us recommit ourselves to building an Ekiti where women, men, boys, and girls can live without fear of violence. Hand in hand, let us make our dear state a glowing example of justice, compassion, and resilience.
