
THIS IS TIME FOR RENEWED HOPE FOR AKOKO YOUTHS -HON.AKANDE,FCA
The new Commissioner of Water Resources, Sanitation and Hygiene, Honourable Ayodele Samson Akande,FCA has reaffirmed that this is time is for Renewed Hope for Akoko Youths.
This was the highlight of Hon.Akande’s address to the National Body of Akoko Youths Forum, AYF led by their President,Comrade Blessing Akeju and some Executives when they paid him a courtesy call at his office Alagbaka -Akure on Friday.
Akande advised the Akoko Youths to do more of engagements and lobbying rather than engaging in unnecessary negative confrontations and violent acts.
“I can assure you that this period is the Renewed Hope for your generation being the first time that all Akoko political office holders and leaders regardless of tribe, political boundaries and tendencies are united and presenting a common front from all angles.

This unity of Akoko political class has begin to yield multiple dividends in form of development, jobs creation,peace and. Security”.
He also said the Youths of Akoko are currently enjoying the dividends and fruits of this unity which more are still in the pipeline.
He advised that the Youths too has a vital roles to play in further uniting the political class and appointees so that the masses can feel the impact of Gov. Aiyedatiwa’s govt.
He warned the Youths to desist and shun violence, but to embrace peace and do more of consultations and engagements rather than making themselves tools to foment trouble by some recalcitrant politicians.
Akande noted that over the years that other Senatorial Districts are more developed and enjoyed more dividends of democracy than Akoko because Akoko leaders have always been divided across tribal and political sentiments.

He promised that he’s doors are wide open for further engagement with all Akoko youths whenever the needs arises.
In his opening remarks, the Akoko Youths National President, Comrade Akeju congratulated Hon. Akande for his new appointment and equally thanked Gov.Aiyedatiwa for appointing Akande, one of Akoko most progressive minded leader with in-depth understanding of governance to represent ANWLG on the state exco.
Akeju equally described Akande as an altruistic, committed and consistent Akoko leader who has continued to use all his good offices and available resources to promote the Youths and care for the masses.
On Akande’s positive impact, Akeju re-emphasized on the critical roles Akande played in his emergent and massive supports he continues to received from him.
The AYF delegation unanimously agreed with Akande that they will continue to be of good conduct and sustain the cordial and harmonious relationships between AYF and the political leaders and structures.
