Those aspiring to lead Ekiti State should first demonstrate meaningful impact within their immediate environment before making sweeping promises about transforming the entire state.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji has shown clear commitment to the development of Ekiti, particularly in the area of rural electrification and power supply across many towns and communities. These efforts deserve recognition and encouragement rather than constant condemnation.
It is important to understand that no government can solve every challenge overnight. Development is a gradual process that must align with available resources and priorities. What matters most is the sincerity of purpose, continuity of projects, and visible commitment to improving the lives of the people.
Constructive criticism is welcome in a democracy, but it should be fair, factual, and objective. As Ekiti people, we must support initiatives that move the state forward while encouraging leaders to do even more for the benefit of all.
