ARAMOKO PALACE GIVES STRONG BACKING TO OMOLEYE’S SECOND TERM AMBITION
ROYAL ENDORSEMENT STRENGTHENS OMOLEYE’S RE-ELECTION BID AS LAWMAKER PLEDGES DEEPER DEVELOPMENT IN EKITI CENTRAL
The re-election bid of the Member of the House of Representatives for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II, Biodun Omoleye, received a major political and traditional boost on Sunday, April 26, 2026, following a high-profile royal reception and endorsement at the Alara Palace in Aramoko-Ekiti.
The visit, which drew political leaders, traditional chiefs, and community stakeholders, culminated in a formal royal blessing from the Regent of Aramoko-Ekiti, Princess Sherifat Owolabi, who prayed for the lawmaker’s continued success and stability as he seeks another term in office.
The endorsement is seen as a significant morale booster ahead of the upcoming All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries and the general elections, reinforcing Omoleye’s grassroots acceptance within his constituency.
STRONG ASSESSMENT OF PERFORMANCE
Speaking during the ceremony, the APC Chairman for Ekiti West Local Government Area, Mr. Olu Aladeloye, commended Omoleye’s performance in his first term, describing it as practical, visible, and people focused.
He highlighted key areas of impact, including the rehabilitation of critical rural and semi-urban roads in Aramoko-Ekiti, consistent constituency engagement, and structured empowerment initiatives targeting youths, traders, and artisans.
According to him, the lawmaker has demonstrated a “dependable and responsive approach to representation,” which has strengthened public confidence in his leadership.
Similarly, High Chief Isaac Adebayo, the Asao of Aramoko, praised what he described as Omoleye’s “quiet but highly effective interventions,” noting that many of his contributions to community development and individual welfare cases were carried out without public publicity.
DEVELOPMENT PROMISES FOR SECOND TERM AGENDA
In his address, Hon. Omoleye reaffirmed his commitment to sustained development across Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II, emphasizing that his focus remains on tangible impact rather than political rhetoric.
He announced that ongoing road rehabilitation projects in Aramoko-Ekiti and surrounding communities are expected to be completed within the next 60 days. The project, he added, will include the installation of solar powered street lighting to enhance security, improve visibility, and support nighttime economic activities.
“I am not given to noise making,” Omoleye said. “What matters most is the real improvement in the lives of our people. With your continued support and by the grace of God, we will achieve even more in the next phase.”
He further reiterated his commitment to expanding existing empowerment programmes, including student scholarships, skills acquisition support for artisans, and financial assistance schemes for small business owners and local traders.
ROYAL ENDORSEMENT AND COMMUNITY CONFIDENCE
In her royal remarks, Princess Sherifat Owolabi offered prayers for the lawmaker’s continued success and formally pronounced the blessings of the palace on his political journey. She expressed confidence in his capacity to continue delivering meaningful development to the constituency.
The royal endorsement from the Alara Palace is widely regarded as a strong signal of continued trust between the traditional institution and the lawmaker, reflecting his sustained relationship with grassroots leaders across Aramoko-Ekiti and the wider constituency.
POLITICAL SIGNIFICANCE
The event further
consolidates Omoleye’s political standing within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, as stakeholders increasingly point to his developmental track record as a key factor in his re-election campaign.
