BREAKING: Hon. Biodun Omoleye Distributes Relief Materials to Ijero Rainstorm Victims Today
In a continued demonstration of compassion and responsive leadership, Hon. Biodun Omoleye, Member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II (Ijero, Ekiti West, and Efon), will today, Friday, May 15, distribute relief materials to victims of the devastating February 11 rainstorm in Ijero-Ekiti.
The distribution exercise is scheduled to take place at the Owa Ajero Palace, Ijero-Ekiti, by 4:00 PM prompt. Affected residents are expected to gather at the venue to benefit from the intervention initiative aimed at alleviating the hardship caused by the disaster.
It will be recalled that the February rainstorm wreaked havoc across the community, destroying homes, properties, and means of livelihood. In the immediate aftermath, Hon. Omoleye extended his heartfelt sympathy to victims and donated the sum of One Million Naira as initial support, reaffirming his commitment to their welfare.
Today’s relief distribution marks another significant step in ongoing efforts by the lawmaker to provide succour to affected families, while also working closely with relevant government agencies and emergency response bodies to secure further assistance.
The initiative has received the royal endorsement of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Joseph Adebayo Adewole, JP, OFR, Arojojoye II, the Owa Ajero of Ijero Kingdom.
Community leaders and residents have continued to commend Hon. Omoleye for his prompt intervention, unwavering solidarity, and dedication to easing the plight of his constituents.
