Comrade Idowu Afuye: “Anyone Contesting Against BAO is Wasting Time and Resources”
Prominent political commentator and grassroots mobilizer, Comrade Idowu Afuye, has once again reaffirmed his strong belief in the leadership and popularity of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), describing him as “a man of the people and a divine choice for Ekiti State at this critical time.”
Speaking in Ado-Ekiti, Comrade Afuye stated that anyone planning to contest against Governor Oyebanji in the forthcoming governorship election is merely wasting both money and effort, noting that the people of Ekiti have already aligned themselves with the governor’s vision of continuity, progress, and inclusive governance.
According to him, Governor Oyebanji’s humility, accessibility, and genuine concern for the welfare of his people have endeared him to every segment of the state — from rural communities to urban centers.
> “BAO is not just a politician; he is a divine project,” Afuye said. “The people of Ekiti have seen sincerity, accountability, and tangible results under his administration. No amount of opposition propaganda can change that.”
Comrade Afuye further expressed confidence that Governor Oyebanji will make history as the first Ekiti governor to serve two consecutive terms (eight years), adding that such continuity will bring unprecedented stability and development to the state.
He called on all well-meaning citizens, political stakeholders, and youth groups to rally behind the governor as he continues to build on the foundations of unity, good governance, and prosperity for Ekiti State.
