Oyebanji Commissions Okemesi/Ido-Ile LCDA Secretariat Complex

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on Tuesday commissioned the newly constructed Okemesi/Ido-Ile Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Secretariat Complex — a landmark infrastructure project delivered by the Council Chairman, Hon. Ajibade Sunday Owolabi.

Represented by the Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Monisade Afuye, Governor Oyebanji described the modern administrative edifice as a reflection of the chairman’s dedication to inclusive growth and effective grassroots governance.

The governor, who recently inaugurated the 13.27-kilometre Itawure–Okemesi Road, reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of citizens, infrastructural expansion, and sustainable development across the state. He applauded Hon. Ajibade for creating an enabling environment for efficient public service delivery, noting that the new secretariat stands as a symbol of progress and purposeful leadership.

In his remarks, Hon. Ajibade commended Governor Oyebanji for his people-oriented leadership and support for local governments. He explained that the newly built secretariat — equipped with 28 fully furnished offices, each with toilet facilities, 24-hour solar power supply, fans, modern office furniture, and a borehole system — would greatly enhance administrative efficiency and staff productivity.

Hon. Ajibade further expressed gratitude to the governor for granting greater autonomy to local councils, emphasizing that this empowerment has enabled them to fulfil their electoral promises and bring governance closer to the people
