Comrade Idowu Afuye Demands Accountability from Senator Cyril Fasuyi, Condemns Resort to Personal Attacks
Comrade Idowu Afuye has once again called on Senator Cyril Fasuyi to publicly present a clear and verifiable account of his achievements to the people of Ekiti North Senatorial District.
This call, which is rooted in the principles of transparency and responsible representation, has unfortunately been met not with facts or performance records, but with a wave of coordinated personal attacks allegedly carried out by the Senator’s media loyalists on Comrade Afuye’s Facebook page.
It is both disappointing and alarming that at a time when the people deserve answers on governance, priorities have shifted toward distraction, propaganda, and character assassination. Such actions only reinforce concerns about the absence of tangible achievements to present before the people.
Comrade Afuye maintains that asking an elected public office holder to give account of his stewardship is not an attack—it is a fundamental democratic right of the people. The refusal to respond with substance, while resorting to insults and online harassment, raises serious questions about leadership capacity and accountability.
This moment is particularly concerning as many observers believe that this is one of the most underwhelming periods in the history of Ekiti North Senatorial District in terms of representation at the National Assembly. The district deserves proactive, visible, and impactful leadership—not excuses and deflection.
Leadership is not about noise or media propaganda; it is about results, integrity, and the ability to effectively represent the interests of the people. The current approach by Senator Cyril Fasuyi falls short of these expectations.
Comrade Idowu Afuye therefore reiterates his challenge: let Senator Cyril Fasuyi present his scorecard to the people. Let the conversation be about performance, development, and measurable impact—not personal attacks.
The people of Ekiti North deserve better. They deserve leadership with capacity, vision, and accountability.
