FROM PROMISE TO PROGRESS: OMOLEYE’S ROAD PROJECTS TRANSFORM ARAMOKO WITH SPEED AND IMPACT
Hon. Biodun Omoleye, the lawmaker representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II in the House of Representatives, has reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development following an on the spot assessment of ongoing township road projects in Aramoko Ekiti.
Less than a month after construction commenced, Omoleye personally inspected the projects located in the Ijowa and Ijofi areas, expressing satisfaction with both the pace and quality of work delivered so far. His visit, though unannounced, attracted a large and enthusiastic crowd of supporters, underscoring growing public confidence in his leadership.
Speaking during the inspection, the lawmaker noted that the visit was aimed at ensuring strict adherence to project specifications and timely completion. He emphasized that the roads are not just infrastructural additions, but strategic investments designed to improve living standards and stimulate economic activities within the community.
Omoleye highlighted that the inclusion of well structured drainage systems on both sides of the roads would address longstanding erosion challenges and guarantee durability. He further disclosed that asphalt surfacing would commence in the coming weeks, while solar-powered streetlights would be installed upon completion to enhance security and nighttime visibility.
Calling for community participation, he urged residents to safeguard the projects, warning against actions such as blocking drainage channels or tampering with road structures, which could undermine their longevity.
The lawmaker also revealed that his inspection exposed additional needs within the project areas, prompting extensions in certain sections to better serve the people. He assured constituents that more rural roads, especially those linking farm settlements, would soon be constructed to boost agricultural productivity and rural development.
On the political front, Omoleye called for sustained support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), stressing that continued alignment with the party would attract more developmental strides to the constituency. He also rallied voters to turn out massively in the June 20 governorship election to secure a second term for Governor Biodun Oyebanji, citing his impactful performance across critical sectors.
In his remarks, Hon. Kareem Agunbiade, representing Ekiti West Constituency I in the State House of Assembly, described the projects as a landmark achievement for Aramoko Ekiti. He urged residents to reciprocate the gesture by re-electing Omoleye, expressing confidence in his capacity to deliver even greater dividends of democracy. Community leader, Oluode Olajide Ogunluyi, commended the rapid progress of the projects, describing them as legacy interventions that have already made a visible difference. Similarly, Deaconess Comfort Oyebade praised the drainage systems, noting that they would finally put an end to persistent erosion issues in the area.
