Omoleye Inspects Ongoing Road Projects in Aramoko-Ekiti, Expresses Satisfaction with Progress

The member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II in the House of Representatives, Hon. Biodun Omoleye, has expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work on the ongoing township road projects in Aramoko-Ekiti.

The lawmaker conducted an on-the-spot inspection of the road projects located in the Ijowa and Ijofi areas of the town, less than a month after construction commenced.

Speaking during the visit, Hon. Omoleye said the inspection was aimed at assessing the pace, quality, and adherence to project specifications to ensure timely delivery.

Despite the visit being unannounced, Omoleye was warmly received by a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters, a development he described as a reflection of the strong acceptance of his representation by the people.

He noted that the completed roads would significantly boost economic activities in the communities, while the construction of drainage channels on both sides would enhance durability and effectively tackle erosion challenges.

Omoleye disclosed that asphalt laying on the roads would begin in the coming weeks, adding that solar-powered streetlights would also be installed upon completion to improve security and visibility at night.

He urged residents to take ownership of the projects by protecting the infrastructure, warning against actions such as blocking drainage systems or tampering with the roads, which could shorten their lifespan.

The federal lawmaker revealed that the inspection helped him identify additional community needs, leading to the extension of some sections of the roads to better serve the people.

He further assured constituents that more rural roads, especially those serving farm settlements across the constituency, would soon be constructed to support agricultural productivity and rural development.

On the political front, Omoleye called on the people to continue supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) at both federal and state levels, emphasizing that sustained support would attract more developmental projects to the area.

He specifically urged eligible voters to turn out en masse on June 20 to re-elect Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, for a second term, citing the governor’s impressive achievements in education, health, agriculture, and other key sectors.

In his remarks, the member representing Ekiti West Constituency I in the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Kareem Agunbiade, described the road projects as unprecedented in Aramoko-Ekiti and a major milestone in the town’s development.

Agunbiade called on residents to reciprocate the gesture by re-electing Hon. Omoleye for another term in the House of Representatives.

A community leader, Oluode Olajide Ogunluyi, commended Omoleye for facilitating what he termed “legacy projects,” noting the impressive progress recorded within a short period.

Similarly, resident Deaconess Comfort Oyebade expressed relief at the intervention, stating that the new drainage systems would finally address the long-standing erosion problems in the area.

Both leaders pledged continued support for the lawmaker and offered prayers for his continued success.
