GOVERNOR OYEBANJI’S IMPACT IN IJERO LOCAL GOVERNMENT
The administration of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) continues to touch lives and transform communities across Ekiti State. In Ijero Local Government, his commitment to infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and workers’ welfare has delivered visible progress and renewed hope.
Workers’ Welfare
✅ Payment of ₦225.4 million gratuity to 73 pensioners, ensuring dignity and relief for retirees.
Road Infrastructure
✅ Reconstruction of Iloro–Ijurin–Temidire–Ayegunle road and completion of additional works on the Oke-Oro–Ilukuno–Ipoti road.
✅ 11.31km Ijero–Epe–Araromi–Iropora road constructed.
✅ 6.1km Gbadamosi/Sakoro farm road in Ikoro completed.
✅ 6.5km Oyikaka/Ayegun farm road in Ipoti constructed.
✅ 2km Temidire/Ilukuno farm road delivered at Temidire.
Education Development
✅ Construction of classrooms, perimeter fences, administrative offices, toilets, and boreholes in schools across the LGA.
✅ Renovation of school blocks with offices in Ijero, Odo-Owa, Epe, Ipoti, Ikoro, Iloro, Ilukuno, Ayegunle, Ara, and Iroko.
✅ Construction and equipping of a modern science laboratory at the Ekiti State Special School for the Deaf, Ikoro-Ekiti.
✅ Upgrades at the Government Technical College, Ijero-Ekiti, including solar-powered boreholes, project vehicle procurement, renovated library, cosmetology/beauty therapy workshop, and electrical craft workshop.
Healthcare Delivery
✅ Renovation of Basic Health Centres in Odo-Owa, Ayegunle, Ijero, Iloro, Ilokuno, Ara, Owa, and Ijurin.
✅ Major upgrades to facilities including perimeter fencing, boreholes, solar power, and gatehouses at the Basic Health Centre Ejiyan, Comprehensive Health Centre Ara, BHC Ikoro, BHC Ijurin, BHC Ajegunle, and BHC Ese-Ijero.
Agriculture & Rural Development
✅ 150 hectares of farmland cleared for farm clusters across the LGA, including Obasa Farm (Ijero-Ekiti), Ara, Ikoro, Ijurin, Iloro, and Olukotun Farm Settlement.
Power Supply
✅ 13.5km extension of 33KV line from Aramoko to Ijero-Ekiti, boosting electricity supply in the area.
The proactive leadership spirit of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has successfully rubbed off on the people of Ijero Ekiti. We all can testify to the works of the governor in the state and how well he has reached out to other towns and villages in the state. Interestingly, he has done all these in less than three(3) years of his tenure. May God continue to strengthen him to do more for the people of Ekiti State.
