Senator Natasha H Akpoti Urges Kogi PDP to Reopen Doors to Returnees, Rallies Support Ahead of 2027 Elections

Lokoja, Kogi State — April 25, 2026

A leading voice in the Kogi State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, Senator Natasha H Akpoti Uduaghan has called on party executives to embrace inclusivity by reopening the party’s doors to former members willing to return.

Speaking during the State PDP Executive Committee (Exco) meeting held in Lokoja on Saturday, April 25, 2026, the senator emphasized the need for unity as a strategic pathway to strengthening the party’s base ahead of future elections.

“I plead with our party executives to open the doors wide for those who wish to return. The strength of our party lies in our unity, and this is the time to bring everyone back home,” she stated.

Senator Natasha further urged party leaders and members to actively participate in the ongoing membership e-registration exercise, describing it as a vital tool for repositioning the party structurally and digitally.

“We must go out and mobilize for the membership e-registration. This is not just an exercise—it is the foundation upon which we rebuild and strengthen our party for the future,” she added.

Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, the lawmaker called on party faithful to remain steadfast, prepared, and committed to reclaiming political ground in the state and beyond.

“We must begin now to prepare ourselves for the 2027 general elections. Victory is not accidental, it is built on preparation, unity, and determination,” she said.

Senator Natasha also reassured party members of her continued dedication to the growth and success of the PDP in Kogi State. Over the years, she has remained a consistent advocate for grassroots mobilization, youth inclusion, and women’s participation in politics.

Her contributions to the party have included strengthening local party structures, supporting community-driven initiatives, and amplifying the voices of Kogi citizens at the national level. Her role in fostering political engagement and championing transparency has earned her recognition as one of the prominent figures revitalizing the PDP in the state.

Party stakeholders at the meeting commended her commitment and leadership, noting that her message of unity and strategic preparation resonates strongly with the party’s vision of reclaiming its influence in Kogi State.

As the PDP continues its internal reorganization, Senator Natasha’s call for inclusivity and proactive engagement is expected to play a key role in shaping the party’s trajectory ahead of the next electoral cycle.
