TRIBUTE BY A FORMER PASAN MEMBER
A GREAT LIGHT DIMMED: HON. IDOWU AFUYE (UROWOROMI) MOURNS ADEGBOYEGA FASIKU
I received with deep shock and profound sadness the news of the passing of my former colleague and brother, Mr. Adegboyega Fasiku. His untimely departure is not only painful but a monumental loss to the entire Legislative Service family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
As a former member of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), Ekiti State Chapter, I had the honour of working alongside Mr. Fasiku and witnessing firsthand his uncommon dedication, brilliance, and unwavering commitment to service. He was a man whose life embodied discipline, humility, and excellence.
In his role as the Pioneer Executive Secretary of the Pension Board, Legislative Service, Mr. Fasiku distinguished himself as a visionary administrator. He laid solid foundations that have continued to sustain and strengthen the institution. His leadership was marked by integrity, foresight, and a deep sense of responsibility to both the system and the people it serves.
Beyond his official responsibilities, he was a dependable colleague, a calm voice in moments of challenge, and a source of inspiration to many of us within PASAN. His respect for others, coupled with his intellectual depth, made him not just a professional asset but a truly remarkable human being.
His passing at such a relatively young age is a painful reminder of the fragility of life. However, even in death, his legacy of service, hard work, and excellence will continue to speak for him and guide those he left behind.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to his beloved wife, children, extended family, and the entire PASAN community. I pray that Almighty God grants them the strength and comfort needed to bear this irreparable loss.
Adieu, my brother and colleague. Your impact will never be forgotten.
Hon. Idowu Afuye (Uroworomi
